A photograph of my Mother (aged 9) dressed in Masai outfit. It is unclear why, or who, would have instructed her to dress up and be photographed. She doesn’t look happy.

This image is important family archival documentation for my Practice and PhD Research, depicting the complex Imperialistic relationship between the Indian and Black people.
