“These two lovely wool waistcoats were knitted by my great grandmother ‘Fleetwood Hargreaves’ for her husband Tom. They are at least eighty-five years old and although they have had a couple of buttonhole repairs, they still going strong and worn occasionally. Fleety (as she was known) was a dab hand at knitting and sewing. She used to knit her own stockings, socks and even made oilskins for her husband to wear as he cycled to work on wet days.”
